January 17, 2012: The 2012 Shot Show was well attended
from Jan. 17, 2012 until Jan. 20, 2012. This was the biggest annual
exhibition for guns and weapons, law enforcement and tactical
gear, hunting and outdoor equipment and accessories for all
of the above. It was a yearly event that once shifted between
Las Vegas, Nevada and Orlando, Florida for a number of years
but fortunately for the Las Vegas area, the Shot Show has committed
to at least the next two years at its current home in the Sands
Convention Center and the Venetian Resort and Casino. Highlights
of this year's show include innovative products shown above called
the EarPro by Surefire which has dual properties of comfortable
wear and noise-cancelling properties that molds itself to the middle
ear canal with durable wear for at least six (6) months. The Smith
and Wesson booth had celebrities in its opening day with Ms. Julie
Golob, six (6) division USPSA champion, and Mr. Jerry Miculek, 22
time USPSA champion and world revolver record holder. All in all, the
2012 show was buzzing with attendees for all the four days of the
exhibition and everyone is looking forward to a bigger and greater
show for the future at the Las Vegas Sands Convention Center.
